Dont They Know it Christmas

Soit hit me last night that it is indeed Christmas time. I was eating sushi ,garden tempura roll, of all things when my favorite Christmas jam of all time came on. I will always remember the smell of cookies baking and fresh cut trees, and my mom yelling at me to not run in the house because it makes the record skip. I cant wait for the day that my Mom will have the opportunity to yell those words at me again in her own house.
I am very excited for this weather only in southern California do you wait till December to break out the coats and scarfs. My favorite tradition is every year my family gets together and makes home made ravioli and gnocchi. the sound of
carols being muffled out by the laughter, flour clouds the room after Gonga decides that its just to clean around here and we need to make a mess. The taste of warm nog with just a splash or six of brandy warming your body on the outside while constant hugs warm you outside. If you want to join in the festivities the rule of to many cooks in the kitchen does not apply here its an open door to good friends.

Becoming You

Remember when you were young and had this picture of the person you would become when you were a "grown up"? I do and hes a pretty awesome guy.I think that I finally figures out what i need to do to become the person that i always wanted to be. I am very excited for 2010. Some major moves are just over the horizon.

Not sure if its the change weather or the lack of human warmth lately but the only thing that could deliver me home tonight was 'get lonely' by The Mountain Goats. The entire album is riddled with the reality of being alone and does so in a way that makes you feel anything but. If you don't now the work of the mountain goats you are missing out. I have gone as far as to say that John Darnielle, lead singer and soul of the Mountain Goats, is the Bob Dylan of our generation.

We Partied

Me and some good friends including Mike (left) of  theinlandempiresavages got together for some sweet hangouts good times were had by all as you can see.
